Retrofitting: AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system (code B07)

Reliability in extreme situations, even after several emergency braking operations in succession: The AMG high-performance ceramic composite braking system offers you deceleration values that you can rely on even in exceptional situations. It is also lighter than conventional brake systems - fewer unsprung masses for more driving dynamics and agility.

Elaborate technology for outstanding performance: The generously dimensioned ceramic brake discs (402 x 39 mm at the front, 360 x 32 mm at the rear) are of composite design and float axially connected to an aluminium pot. The production of the discs from ceramic reinforced with carbon fibres is a very complex process. Before baking, the fiber matrix composite must first be brought into a mold by hand and silicified. The technically demanding finishing work is carried out with diamond tools, among other things.

A special Brembo fist caliper is used on the rear axle, which is only used by Mercedes-AMG.

The brake calipers are painted in bronze and thus clearly distinguish themselves from the standard brake. It shows your preference for exquisite design and high-performance technology.
