Retrofit: Manual flap control for AMG GT (X290)
Manual flap control enables you to open/close the actuators on the rear silencer of the AMG GT with AMG performance exhaust system switchable (Code U78) yourself at any time. The system is operated by radio using a high-quality handheld transmitter, and the following three starting profiles can be stored.
- 1. profile = exhaust gas flaps fully open - increased volume
- 2. profile = exhaust gas flaps completely closed - reduced volume
- 3. profile = standard condition
The start mode can be set in a few seconds on the handheld transmitter.

The compatibility must be checked beforehand.
A switchable exhaust system with Mercedes-Benz exhaust gas flaps is required for manual control. If you are retrofitting an AMG GT 4 door, then order "retrofit wiring harness". In activated profile 1 or 2, operation via the switch block is not possible on the AMG GT.
The control unit is not street legal, as it affects the original volume of the vehicle.
