Retrofitting: Hitch - practical and space-saving
If it is not needed, the trailer hitch can be folded behind the rear bumper to save space. To couple a car trailer or to mount a bicycle carrier, the device is simply folded out again. There is a switch in the trunk for unlocking.

When it is not needed, the trailer hitch can be electrically unlocked via a switch in the boot and then folded behind the rear bumper to save space. To couple a car trailer or to mount a bicycle carrier, the device is simply folded out again after unlocking. An LED in the switch goes out to indicate that the hitch is correctly engaged.

In conjunction with COMAND and rear view camera, a special camera resolution and an additional help line are available.
Blind Spot Assist is not available when driving with a trailer and Active Lane Keeping Assist is only available to a limited extent when driving with a trailer.
The compatibility must be checked beforehand. For vehicles with AMG styling (Code 772) a modification to the diffuser is necessary.
The AMG diffuser (cover in the lower bumper) must be modified and adapted on the vehicle.
