Increase the driving comfort in your Mercedes G-Class by retrofitting a SCHAWE steering wheel heater. Our solution is specially designed for the G-Class and is also suitable for vehicles with Distronic (code EZ9), AMG performance steering wheel (code VL9) and multifunction steering wheel (code VL0) which already have a steering wheel heater ex works. Our solution works in a similar way to Mercedes-Benz ex-works. The steering wheel heating is installed by a heating mat under the leather Alcantara cover at the steering wheel rim and in the course of the retrofit the steering wheel rim is newly covered. Please note: Before and after the installation of the steering wheel heater, the fault memory should be read out with Mercedes-Benz Diagnostics Xentry to ensure that there are no error messages and the functionality of the heater can be checked. After the installation of the new control unit, please check the current firmware and have it SCN-coded / programmed if necessary.
On request and for an additional charge, we offer you the possibility to have the steering wheel coated in carbon or wood to adapt the design of your vehicle to your individual wishes.
The leather work or the coating of the steering wheel in carbon or wood takes a few days and is carried out by hand with great care by our experienced team. The installation takes place after appointment in our SCHAWE manufactory.
