Retrofit: AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system (Code B07)

Reliability in extreme situations, even after several consecutive emergency braking manoeuvres: the AMG ceramic high-performance composite braking system offers deceleration values you can rely on even in exceptional situations. It is also lighter than conventional braking systems - less unsprung masses for more driving dynamics and agility.

Elaborate technology for outstanding performance: the generously dimensioned ceramic brake discs (402 x 39 mm at the front, 360 x 32 mm at the rear) are of composite construction and are axially connected to an aluminium cup in a floating arrangement. The production of the discs from carbon fibre reinforced ceramics is a very complex process. Before baking, the fibre matrix composite must first be shaped and silicified by hand. The technically demanding finishing is carried out with diamond tools, among others.

A special Brembo fist-type caliper is used on the rear axle, which is only used in this way in Mercedes-AMG.

The brake calipers are painted bronze and thus clearly differ from the standard brake from a distance. This shows your preference for exquisite design and high-performance technology.
