Retrofit: Manual flap control for S63 AMG (W222)
Manual flap control enables you to open/close the actuators on the rear silencer of the S63 AMG with AMG performance exhaust system (Code U78) yourself at any time.
The system is operated by radio using a high-quality handheld transmitter, and the following three starting profiles can be stored.
- 1. profile = exhaust gas flaps fully open - increased volume
- 2nd profile = exhaust gas flaps completely closed - reduced volume
- 3. profile = serial condition
The start mode can be set in a few seconds on the hand-held transmitter.

The compatibility must be checked beforehand.
A switchable exhaust system with Mercedes-Benz exhaust gas flaps is required for manual control.
If you are retrofitting the S63, then order "retrofit wiring harness". In the activated profile 1 or 2, operation via the switch block is not possible with the S63 AMG.
The control unit is not road legal, as it affects the original volume of the vehicle.
